Random Encounter Album - Unavenged - (CD Version)

This is a new and improved version of Unavenged. A high quality MP3 version of the album is included on the disk along with some Random Encounter desktop images!

The making of Unavenged was an international effort featuring guest artists from across the globe. This includes the guitar stylings of Sir Dr. Robert Bakker of The Protomen on Gerudo Valley), the mixing and mastering of Grammy Nominee Rob Kleiner, and elements of the band Select Start. The Russian folklore in the album artwork by Dennis Hansbury depicts the band fighting off an unstoppable horde of monsters standing between them and their nemesis Koshei The Deathless. The album also contains profiles of the band members explaining their individual monster hunting specialties.

While Random Encounter was initially formed in 2005 from a literal series of random encounters, Unavenged represents the new direction the band took after it was reformed by an entirely new set of random encounters in 2010 (with only one of the original members crossing over). Drawing from its roots as a video game cover band, Unavenged showcases the new band's first originals inspired by video games, as well as a few original songs tied to their Russian heritage. Paying tribute to the old band, Unavenged opens with the first recording off "Neo Symbiance" (2005), the introduction theme from Final Fantasy VI, and blends into their new and improved rendition of "Terra" (the last track off the Self Titled Demo LP). The rest of the album features a variety of styles that earned recognition on BADASSOFTHEWEEK.com and also earned Random Encounter the title of "Orlando Weekly's #1 Indie Band in Orlando, 2012!"
