The making of Unavenged was an international effort featuring guest artists from across the U.S. and Korea, including the guitar stylings of Sir Dr. Robert Bakker of The Protomen on Gerudo Valley. The russian folklore style album artwork from Dennis Hansbury depicts the band fighting off an unstoppable horde of demons standing between them and their nemesis Koshei.

Random Encounter is a collective of individuals dedicated to the creation and live performance of quality music. Formed in 2005 from a series of random encounters, their tendency to switch tempo, time signature, and even genres between songs is reflective of their name. Drawing from its roots as a video game cover band, Random Encounter has progressed to creating original music inspired by video game culture. Unavenged represents a new direction for the band following a rework of the group's original lineup. Random Encounter's vocalist/accordionist, Careless, is now accompanied by Anonymous on drums, Rook on bass guitar & synth, & Kit on electric guitar.
